Who Can Audit My Klaviyo Account?
A Klaviyo account can be audited three ways: by Klaviyo’s own support team (free, setup-focused, not revenue-focused), by a freelance email marketer ($300–$1,500, quality varies widely), or by a retention agency that runs Klaviyo accounts daily. Whoever you pick, insist on two things: a written area-by-area scorecard, and auditors who can show you real revenue results from accounts like yours — not a generic checklist.
Ours is free, takes 3–5 business days, and the scorecard is yours either way. The full 5-area checklist we run is published below — take it to us, or to anyone.

You already suspect something’s off
You’re sending campaigns. Revenue shows up in the dashboard. But you can’t tell whether the account is performing or coasting — whether that abandoned-cart flow from 2023 is still earning, whether your list growth is real or churn in disguise, whether “42% open rate” means anything at all (it mostly doesn’t — Apple’s privacy changes inflated opens; clicks and placed orders are the metrics that pay). An audit exists to replace that feeling with a scored answer.
What a real Klaviyo audit checks — the full checklist
This is the exact 5-area scorecard we run. Take it to any provider and ask them to score all five:
1. Deliverability — dedicated sending domain live · SPF/DKIM/DMARC authenticated · spam rate vs. the 0.02% danger line · Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook reputation read separately, never blended · engaged-segment sending discipline · sunset flow present and firing.
2. Core flows — welcome, cart abandonment, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback: present, timed correctly, and actually converting. Flows should punch far above their send volume — in Klaviyo’s 2026 benchmark data flows average a 2.11% placed-order rate vs 0.16% for campaigns. An account whose flows earn less than a third of email revenue almost always has money sitting here.
3. Campaign engine — cadence, segment tiering (who gets what and why), the open→click leak (healthy opens with clicks below ~1% means content and layout, not reach), and whether A/B tests are run in a way that can actually resolve a winner.
4. List growth — popup/form submit rates, growth net of churn, where new profiles come from, and whether new subscribers are reaching the flows that convert them.
5. Segmentation & data — engaged segments defined by clicks (not MPP-inflated opens), exclusion hygiene (recent buyers, bounces, sunset), and whether zero-party data is captured anywhere it could be.
Who should do it: DIY vs. freelancer vs. agency
| Route | Cost | Right when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| DIY with the checklist above | Free + ~4 hours | You’re under ~$500K/yr revenue, or you just want to know how bad it is | You can find problems; fixing flows and deliverability yourself is where DIY stalls |
| Freelancer | $300–$1,500 | You need one specific area diagnosed (e.g. deliverability) and can vet their track record | No standard scorecard; quality varies enormously; the audit often becomes a pitch for rebuild hours |
| Retention agency | Free–$1,500 (often free when they also fix accounts) | You want the audit to come with the fix, priced and guaranteed | Anyone who won’t show the checklist before you commit, or whose “audit” is a sales deck with no scores |
What a qualified provider looks like — five checks, any route
- They publish the audit checklist before you sign anything (you’re reading ours).
- They can show shipped results in your category, with numbers a skeptic can verify.
- They score clicks and placed orders, not open rates.
- They publish their price. Ours: audits are free; ongoing management runs $2,000–$5,000/mo, month-to-month, no long-term contracts.
- They put a guarantee in writing. Ours: +20% attributed Klaviyo revenue within 90 days, or we work free until it’s achieved — written terms published, not a slogan.
How our audit works (if you want us to run it)
Blossom Ecom is an email & SMS retention agency for DTC ecommerce brands. We run full-service Klaviyo programs — lifecycle flows, campaign calendars, segmentation, deliverability and A/B testing — with a published price, a written performance guarantee, and a stated cap on how many brands we take each month.
- Read-only access — you add us as a Klaviyo user; we never send anything.
- The 5-area scorecard — every area above, scored, with the evidence attached.
- The ranked fix list — what’s costing the most money first, sized by revenue impact, not a 40-item everything-list.
- A 30-minute walkthrough call — we hand you the scorecard either way. Fix it yourself, hire anyone, or hire us.
Turnaround: 3–5 business days. Cost: free — we take a limited number per month; it’s how we meet brands worth working with, and the scorecard is yours regardless.

How much does a Klaviyo audit cost?
Free to about $1,500. Klaviyo support reviews setup for free but not revenue performance. Freelancers charge $300–$1,500. Agencies often audit free when they also manage accounts — ours is free.
How long does a Klaviyo audit take?
3–5 business days for a full 5-area audit with read-only access. Same-day “audits” are usually a template with your logo on it.
Can I audit my own Klaviyo account?
Yes — the full checklist is published above. Most DIY audits stall at the fix, not the finding: deliverability repair and flow rebuilds are where owners bring in help.
What should a Klaviyo audit deliverable include?
A scored area-by-area scorecard, the evidence behind each score, and a fix list ranked by revenue impact. If the deliverable is a slide deck with no scores, it was a sales call.
